“Power to the people,” is one of the numerous chants that was said throughout the Great Lakes Peace Jam on November 11, 2017. Jacob, a leader of Project X of Kalamazoo, input his views about the importance of marching. He believes that drawing attention by protesting is a great way to draw positive attention to a negative topic, to receive a positive impact. Overall, unity is important to marching and getting messages across.

Justine Coteng is a tenth grader who is interested in social justice issues. She has good experience with the subject of English, and she uses her English background to document the Peace Jam march.
