Our annual Spring Youth Conference came to a close on Sunday, February 23rd, and Great Lakes PeaceJam would like to thank everyone that helped to make this year’s conference incredible! We had over 240 students all working to bring a more peaceful future for the next generation.

A quick thank you to all of the support we received from the community that made this event possible. Our gratitude to Loy Norrix High School for hosting and our workshop presenters for challenging our ideas about gun violence prevention, safe water accessibility, and peace building tactics among so many more. Our conference was also made possible due to the diligent work of the PeaceJam Foundation, the Great Lakes PeaceJam Board of Directors, and our wonderful volunteers and student mentors. We don’t know where we would be without them! Most importantly, we would like to thank our Nobel Laureate for this year, Kailash Satyarthi, for his words of hope, passion and inspiration to make the youth of the world free, safe and educated.

We cannot wait to see you all back in Kalamazoo for our 2019 Fall Slam!
